Bucyrus Epworth UMC!

We are blessed with varied musical gifts and strong musical program. Our music is a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary praise music. Whether you enjoy listening music as an aid to lifting your heart to God or whether you enjoy blessing others by singing the praises of God, Epworth offers many opportunities to listen or participate in musical opportunities for praise. The choirs typically practice on Wednesday evenings during the school year and are open to members and non-members alike.

The Chancel Choir is the lead adult choir and has responsibilities for leading the musical worship of the congregation on most Sundays.

The Wesley Choir sings once a month and participates in the Festival of Carols and Easter programs.

One of our newest musical ensembles, the Praise Team (left) brings a contemporary flavor to our musical program.

Comprised of our youth from seventh through twelfth grades, the Youth Choir (right) enlivens our worship with the praise of our younger voices as they sing contemporary worship songs. They also participate in the Children’s Choir Festival sponsored by local Bucyrus churches.

Our younger elementary children (Kindergarten through sixth grade) also lift their voices in praise and have an important role in the musical life of our congregation. Vocal and instrumental soloists are also a significant part of Epworth’s music and worship program. Soloists are the primary musical program during Summer worship and also share their gifts from time to time throughout the rest of the year.
